NASA Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Independent Study Team — final report
Report · written 14 September 2023 · released 14 September 2023
Why this matters
NASA's first formal study of UAP, by an outside panel of scientists. It found no evidence of extraterrestrial origin, but argued that the problem is poor data and stigma, and recommended calibrated sensors, citizen-science reporting and a role for NASA. A short, readable baseline for the scientific side of the UAP debate.
