Department of Defense
The Effects of Nuclear Weapons, third edition (Glasstone & Dolan)
Report · written 1 January 1977 · released 1 January 1977
Why this matters
The standard unclassified U.S. government reference on blast, thermal radiation, fallout and EMP from nuclear detonations, published jointly by DoD and the Energy Research and Development Administration (report TID-28061). Its tables and curves still underpin civil-defense and arms-control analysis. The full text is free on OSTI but rarely found outside specialist circles.
