MSRE Design and Operations Report, Part VIII: Operating Procedures

Report · written 1 January 1966 · released 1 January 1966

Why this matters

The operating procedures for Oak Ridge's Molten-Salt Reactor Experiment, which ran from 1965 to 1969 (report ORNL-TM-908). This series is the main body of real operating experience behind today's molten-salt and thorium reactor startups. Engineers still mine these scans for practical details that never made it into journal papers.
