Project Blue Book Special Report No. 14 (1955)
Study · written 1954 · released October 1955
Why this matters
The Battelle Memorial Institute's statistical analysis of more than 3,000 UFO reports for the Air Force, the most rigorous data study of the Blue Book era. Its own tables show the best-documented reports were not the easiest to explain, a nuance the Air Force's public summary smoothed over. Scanned from the original; no official digital edition was found.
