GEIPAN case archive (French space agency UFO bureau)

Database · written 1977 · released March 2007

Why this matters

France's space agency has run an official unit to investigate unidentified aerospace phenomena since 1977, and in 2007 it opened its case files online. Each case is classified A (explained) through D (unexplained after investigation). It is the most transparent government UFO program anywhere, and almost unknown in the English-speaking world.
